The Downtown BID is a non-profit organization that works to improve Downtown DCís public environment, economy and social equity. Our goal is to create a vibrant, inviting and smart place where people from all walks of life are able to explore, create and share remarkable urban experiences that inspire and revitalize.

More than 800 commercial properties comprise the Downtown BID area within the boundaries of the National Mall on the south, Massachusetts Avenue (including the Walter E. Washington Convention Center) on the north, Louisiana Avenue on the east and the White House and 16th Street on the west. The Downtown BID area encompasses the Gallery Place, Chinatown, Federal Triangle, Franklin Square, McPherson Square, Midtown and Penn Quarter neighborhoods.

USGBC works toward its mission of market transformation through its LEED green building program, robust educational offerings, a nationwide network of chapters and affiliates, the annual Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, and advocacy in support of public policy that encourages and enables green buildings and communities.

The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International is a federation of 93 BOMA U.S. associations, BOMA Canada and its 11 regional associations and 13 BOMA international affiliates. Founded in 1907, BOMA represents the owners and managers of all commercial property types including nearly 10 billion square feet of U.S. office space that supports 3.7 million jobs and contributes $205 billion to the U.S. GDP. Its mission is to advance the interests of the entire commercial real estate industry through advocacy, education, research, standards and information.

The District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA) is the professional association representing both the commercial and residential real estate industries in the nationís capital. Its membership of nearly 500 companies and organizations comprises several thousand real estate professionals. Association members are engaged in all aspects of real estate development and include developers, general contractors, architects and engineers, lenders, attorneys, brokers, title companies, utility companies, community development organizations and other industry members.

The Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA) is an international not-for-profit industry association dedicated to the advancement of intelligent home and intelligent building technologies.

The organization is supported by an international membership of nearly 400 companies involved in the design, manufacture, installation and retailing of products relating to home automation and building automation. Public organizations, including utilities and government are also members.

If you are interested in the sustainable growth and development of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region, ULI Washington is for you. ULI is a nonprofit research and education organization supported by its members. Founded in 1936, the Institute now has over 30,000 members in 95 countries, representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines working in private enterprise and public service Ė including leading property owners, investors, advisors, developers, architects, lawyers, lenders, planners, regulators, contractors, engineers, university professors, librarians, students, and interns. ULI Washington is one of ULIís largest District Councils worldwide, with almost 2,000 members. We welcome membership and participation from all types of organizations, both private and public, who share our commitment to responsible land use to sustain the growth and prosperity of the National Capital region.

The USGBC-National Capital Region Chapter (USGBC-NCR) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are one of 77 Chapters nationwide that are the local voice of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the foremost green building organization in the country.

USGBC-NCR promotes sustainability, advocates for green building policies, and fosters relationships among like-minded professionals through education, networking and outreach programs that are offered here in the National Capital Region.
